Is it safe for my dog to take Trifexis and Baytril together?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Basset Hound | Female | spayed | 2 years and 7 months old | 55 lbs

My dog is currently on baytril for a UTI, but her trifexis is due today. Being in the south and with the weather so hot, I'd hate for her to miss it since mosquitoes are still out, but is it safe for her to take while still on baytril? Her vet has already closed for the weekend.

You are correct that you want to make sure that Harper Grace does not miss her heartworm medication. All heartworm medications are tested to be safe when given in conjunction with antibiotics. I just checked their product information sheet, and Trifexis does not have any potential interaction listed with Baytril. I hope that was hlpful!
