Why is my senior dog suddenly reactive, shedding, and not eating?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | spayed | 8 years and 10 months old | 65 lbs

9 year old boxer staffordshire terrier mix, recent onset dog reactivity, decreased activity when not around other animals, excess shedding, decreased appetite, going on for 2 weeks.

Hi and thanks for posting! It is hard to say what the cause may be without examining Ruby first, but I can offer a suggestion. The symptoms you describe may be caused by a thyroid disorder (hypothyroidism) or an adrenal disorder. I would recommend a check up and blood work first to check her thyroid and adrenal function.
