My indoor cat has a red spot on her back. What is it? Should I worry?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 4 years and 9 months old | 10 lbs

Hi there, my cat recently developed a red spot on her back. She is an indoor cat but does go out on the balcony daily (on 18th floor). She does not seem to be irritated by it but we are concerned. I've attached a few photos below. Thank you!

Hi and thanks for your post! Unfortuneately, there are no pictures attached. It is hard to say exactly what the red spot on Artemis's back may be without examining Artemis first, but I can offer some insights. It could be a fungal infection, a cyst or small tumor, flea allergy, or other environmental allergy, Your veterinarian can diagnose these potential conditions with an exam and a few simple skin tests. I would recommend Artemis visit her vet soon to have the possibilities above ruled out. Best to you and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!
