My puppy has non-red welts under fur. Is it an allergic reaction?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | unspayed | 4 months and 3 days old | 40 lbs

We're worried our puppy is having an allergic reaction on her skin. There seems to be humps/welts forming underneath her fur. They're not red but seem to be getting worse. Almost look like large mosquitoe or spider bites.

This is probably an allergic reaction due to an insect bite or a plant outside. those reactions tend to resolve within 48 hours without treatment. if the swelling becomes too large or if Luna is lethargic, take her to the vet in order to get an antihistamine injection.
