My 6mo German Shepherd has a pink bump on his throat. What is it?

6mo German Shepherd had a pink bump on his throat. It was smaller and had a scab about two weeks ago. Thought it was an allergic reaction to his collar/dog tags. The scab is gone, but a somewhat thick, pink bump remains.

I've seen this type of bump or sore after a tick or spider bite. It often lasts a few weeks and then resolves. If it's a mass and it enlarges please take him in to have it examined and removed if needed. As long as you are keeping an eye on it and it's not bothering your dog you can wait a week or two before getting it examined, as it may go away by then.
