My new house sparrow is sick. What to do about yellow fluid droppings?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Bird | Unknown - Bird | Male

My house sparrow looks sick. His droppings are loose yellow fluid. He is inactive with ruffled feathers n head tucked under his wing. I just got it a couple of days back. He seems to be feeding on rice. I started feeding him millets. So sad to watch him. Please help.

I'm sorry Pocoyo is ill. If it is possible he may nee to see a veterinarian. If not possible, i would quarentine him away from other birds. Keep in a warm, draft free area and try to encourage eating. Here's a bit more info on nursing care. https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/sick-pet-birds-nursing-care Best of luck.
