Pet's info: Dog | Boston Terrier | Male | unneutered | 8 months and 27 days old | 14 lbs
Hi, my Boston terrier developed bumps all over his body that I noticed today. They are very small and can really only been seen in the sunlight or if you look for them. If I look under his fur with a flashlight I can see tiny scabs/dry skin where the bumps are. He is not itchy. I gave him an appropriate amount of Benadryl for his weight. He is current on flea and tick medicine, I am with him at all times when he is outside, gets bathed regularly. Is there anything else I can/should do?

Hi, It sounds like your dog is having an allergic reaction to something. It could se something in the grass or a small insect bite or many other things. I would monitor him for worsening bumps, vomiting and lethargy. You can bathe him with a steroid shampoo that you can purchase in a pet store, as well as some sprays commercially available for irritated skin. If they are not getting worse, they may just go down in a few days. Make sure you are giving him the proper benedryl dose and this can be given 3 times a day as well. A vet visit is in order if he is not acting right or the bumps get worse. Good luck!
