My adopted dog barks aggressively at my teenage son. What to do?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 19 lbs

We have a adopted dog 3 shitzu mix who barks and acts like hisnisbgoing to attack my 14 yr old son if he walk into the room or up to the car. My son has always been nice to him .

It is possible Oreo may have never been exposed to a teenager in his past, so the size and volume and how quick he moves may scare Oreo. It is also possible that he had a bad experience with a young adult previously. At any rate I would consider having your son be the one to feed him, and consider having him be there one to take him to obedience school. That way Oreo has positive associations with your son and they learn to trust each other. Good luck and thanks for using Pet Coach!
