How do I stop my chicken/rooster from bleeding on his head

Just hold pressure for a few minutes using a clean cloth or gauze. you may have to hold him for a bit to prevent him from shaking his head in order to give the wound time to clot. If a deep wound or you can't stop the bleeding then veterinary attention may be needed. Depending on how open the wound is, you may need to keep the chicken indoors to prevent fly strike and maggots. Good luck and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
