hi, my cat has a very large belly but is not over weight or pregnant. i found her as a stray cat and the vet told me she was pregnant, months later i knew she wasnt as there where no kittens. the pdsa has done a scan on her belly and said everything is fine, but obviously its not. millie has got a high reading for her kidneys but it is not kidney failure (yet). millies symptons are meowing a lot, always hungry, large belly but small frame, noises from her stomoch, please help because im worried

Hi and thank you for your post. A severe roundworm or tapeworm infection could be the cause of the enlarged belly and this may also explain why Millie is hungry all the time. I would have a fecal test run on her to test for intestinal parasites first. I would be concerned the enlarged belly may be due to a tumor or fluid in the abdomen and may want to do an ultrasound to be sure this wasn't the case. I hope this helps! Best of luck to you!
