My dog has an eye infection. Is it a foreign object? What treatment?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | spayed | 18 years and 7 months old | 70 lbs

pet dog has heavy growth of klebsiella spp. in right eye. Should I suspect foreign body? Treat with what abx?

Hi and thanks for your post on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! You will need to see your veterinarian for an ocular exam to determine if there is a foreign body in the eye. The antibiotic that would be efficacious towards Klebsiella would be a ophthalmic solution that contains tobramycin or gentamicin. Best of luck!
