My cat has an oddly shaped, gurgling lump in her gut. What is it?

Okay so my cat has a lump in her gut and it gurgles when it gets touched or pressed on and its oddly shaped. I'm hoping its not cancer. But I'm really needing help knowing what it is. Please help!

Poor Khali! She is quite beautiful. Without seeing her in person, there is not way I say what this lump is, but given that she is a young cat, cancer would be rare in a cat her age. She could have a benign tumor, a cyst, or you could be feeling her abdominal contents such as her intestines. I would have her seen by a vet. The vet can diagnose what is causing the lump and what treatment, if any, is needed.

Hello. While I cannot promise you that the lump is not cancer, it is very HIGHLY UNLIKELY that the lump is cancerous. She is just too young. There are lymph nodes in the abdomen that can enlarge possibly due to a local infection, possibly even during a heat cycle. So, do not worry too much. Take care.

I have a 4 yr old female cat that I found a lump on her lower stomach roughly half dollar sized and hard. Now today when I was looking at the lumb it now has a big open sore on it. I have been looking at images online, but can't seem to figure it out
Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This could be a benign or malignant growth. This is likely from her mammary gland. There is no way of knowing for sure without an examination though this represents a reason to seek veterinary care. This is usually determined with an examination and a fine needle aspirate (FNA) or a biopsy. Treatment depends on the findings up to that point. I recommend you have Dahlia evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a good night!

Hi, My cat is about 3 yrs old (female) and is fixed. I noticed about 2 weeks ago that she has a bump on her stomach, towards the back, almost at the end of her stomach in the back. It has been their for about 2 weeks, does not bother her at all and
It is not possible to say what this is without a hands-on exam. I suggest you make an appointment with your veterinarian for an exam. He will palpate the lump and may take a little sample with a needle to look at under the microscope. This could be a cyst or an abscess or a benign or malignant tumor. SO have it looked at by your vet for peace of mind.

Hi. I am writing you for my cat. he is 13-14 yer old. Lat few months she got a big swollen thing on her breast. I wanted to take her to vet but my friends who had the same condition told me not to. Because in their cat things got worse after surgery.
I'm wondering if your cat is spayed or not. If your cat isn't spayed, she could have a mammary tumor. In cats, 90% of these are malignant. She does have to see a vet for this problem, as a malignant tumor could also be causing her to vomit. Please take her into a vet now. Best of luck.

My 11 month old male cat. Has an irregular shaped lump in the middle of his abdomen that I can feel. Is this something I should about?
I would definitely have this lump checked out by a vet, as it could be a cyst or a benign tumor. Any suspicious lumps should be examined by the vet. The vet can perform a test called a fine needle aspirate on it. To do this, the vet sticks a small needle into the lump to get a sample of it's cells, and examines the cells on a slide under a microscope. It's usually painless to the animal, and relatively quick to perform. I would have Simba seen by a vet tomorrow to have this lump examined and diagnosed so it can be treated if needed.

My cat has a lump on his belly.
I'm sorry to hear that Al has a skin lump that you found. Cats can develop growths that are benign (cysts, fatty deposits) or some that are concerning (skin cancers, abscesses). I would recommend he be evaluated by his regular veterinarian to determine what kind of mass it is, and whether or not it is potentially a problem for him. Good luck!

My cat has just recently started acting weird. A few days ago she was limping on her paw, that has stopped but now I’ve noticed that she has a lump underneath her in the middle of her chest. Her abdomen also feels a bit bloated and solid.

Although a picture of the lump would help to give you more specific answers, this growth should be ideally examined by your veterinarian to have a definitive diagnosis. Your vet will examine it and possibly perform with an FNA (fine needle aspiration) or a biopsy. Differentials would include skin cyst, infections or benign or malignant type of tumors. Wondering what this could be on my cat, shes older probably between 9-10 years if age. I cant remember exactly, shes had bumps all over her stomach for over a year i believe but it hasnt ever effectef her food intake or how much shes moving around. S
Unfortunately it looks like to me that your cat may have a mammary tumor. Those can be common in cats who aren't spayed, and 90% of these tumors are malignant. This is something that needs to be checked out by a vet as soon as possible. If she does have mammary tumors, they will need to be removed surgically and she will have to have local lymph nodes biopsied to see if the cancer has spread. I would call a vet today to get her an appointment right away. Best of luck!

When we shaved her we notice that her tummy has grown wieredly. She has a ball like shape under her tummy. Is it a serious matter please check photograph. Our vet said to hve sonography if it does not reduces in a month.
I would be concerned about this lump in your cat. It could just be some fatty tissue in her mammary glands, which is very common to have, if it is the same on both sides. It's however the lump is only on one side of her tummy then that increases my suspicion that it is a tumor of some sort. I would recommend having a fine needle aspirate and cytology done at your vet. This is when a small sample of cells is taken from the mass and looked at under the microscope. This can help your vet determine if the mass is something benign or malignant (cancerous). If it is a malignant mass it needs to be removed sooner rather than later because it is already fairly large.

Although a picture of it would help to give you more specific answers, this kind of lump/growth needs to be ideally assessed by your veterinarian to have a definitive and specific answer. Usually there are two ways your vet can do that a part from examining it directly during physical examination. A biopsy can be taken under local or general anesthetic, otherwise a smaller sample through a fine needle can be aspirated (this technique is called FNA= fine needle aspiration). Differentials include skin cysts, infections, benign or more sinister type of tumors (unlikely given her age).
