Puppy has tiny red mark on chest/belly, not bleeding. What is it?

Pet's info: Dog | Cavalier King Charles Spaniel | Male | 7 lbs

My puppy looks like he has a tiny red scratch or cut on his chest / belly area. Potentially a nipple. Not bleeding. Puppy is behaving normally. Thoughts?

Since he is acting normal, you can clean the area with soap and water then apply neosporin. It seems small enough to form a scab and heal on its own but if you notice any swelling or bruising or a change in appetite then I would have him checked

    hey may be bug bites or local inflammation. Use a pet wipe or a plain, unscented baby wipe to gently clean the area. If they wipe away, they were likely little bites that bled slightly. Monitor for spread or resolution. If they worsen, see your veterinarian.

If you can rest her and keep the area clean, then the neosporin is a good option to see if it will scab over or dry up. If it continues to bleed or gets larger then you have to make a visit to the vet.

My dog has a red mark on her belly
That looks like it may be a bruise, scrape or abrasion. You can gently clean it with a diluted Betadine or chlorhexidine (Hibiclens) solution if it is a minor abrasion. If she's licking at it, place an e-collar (cone) on her. It should heal on it's own in a few days. If it is a bruise, monitor it for spread. Look for bruising elsewhere, such as the ear flaps or gums. See your veterinarian if it spreads or if she develops lethargy.

My dog got hurt he is 3 yrs old. He had this red hard round thing on his chest. He got sctrached when he was trying to get up the tree and a few days later that sctrached got big and hard what can I do
This is most likely just an abrasion that your dog got from going up the tree. If the area is hot and/or swollen it may be infected and you would need to take your dog to the vet to get some antibiotics to help it clear up. If you do not think it is swollen you can try cleaning it daily with some dilute hydrogen peroxide and applying some antibiotic ointment on it. If you do this for several days and the area is still abnormal you may want to consider a trip to the vet. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Boop by Petco. Best of luck.

Small red patch with blood blister in middle on my dogs chest
For Max! That looks a little irritated. He could have an infection or it could be some type of mass. The best thing would be to have your veterinarian take a look at it to determine the exact cause and the best way to treat. He may need an antibiotic and an anti-inflammatory. If you can't take him to a vet, then you could bathe him with a medicated dog shampoo and apply an antibiotic cream and see if it resolves.

My 6 month jack Russell terrier has one red welt on her belly near her genital area. It doesn't seem to be bothering her when I touch it nor does she bother it. Should I be concerned? What could it be? No insects have been found on her.
It is possible this is a small bruise or an insect bite such as a fly bite. I would look over the rest of her body to be sure there aren't other similar areas, and also look at her gums to check for any red spots/dots. If you do find either of these, they could be a sign of a bleeding disorder and a vet's care should be sought ASAP. If this is the only spot on her body and she isn't bothering at it, I would just monitor it for the next few days for changes. If it becomes crusted/scabbed, itchy, increases in size, or she becomes lethargic or develops other spots she should see the vet, but hopefully this is just a single bruise or bite which will resolve over a few days.

I noticed my dog was inching so I looked at his belly and noticed that there is a red bleeding area near his nipple. I put disinfectant on it but should I be worried? I can't afford seeing a vet. He is a male jack Russell about 7-8 years old
It looks like a hot spot which is similar to human ezcema. Usually it is treated with cleaning, steroids and antibiotics. If you can't get to a vet most importantly stop him licking it, make a collar. Keep it clean with chlorhexidine or iodine then pat dry. If you have a cream such as hydrocortisone you can apply it daily. If it is not improving or spreading, which may occur, you will have to head to the vet

My puppy has red scabs on his chest and I’m not sure if I should be concerned or not. He does have fleas and we haven’t gotten any medicine for it yet. He scratches and bites at himself a lot too.
Those red spots on Koko's chest could be there for many reasons, fleas included. I would recommend to start him on a good flea prevention like Simparica. If the scabs don't go away, then have him checked for skin mites. At home you can wash the area with an antibacterial soap once a day. I hope this helps!

Hi, we have a pup about 3mths old. Jack Russell cross collie or labrador. He has a small cyst which was red, but less now on the abdominal area near the penis. He has had 2sets of vaccines. Has not been castrated yet. We have not yet been taking him
It may resolve on it's own. You can continue to monitor it at home as long as it doesn't change rapidly, become painful or spreads. Keep the area clean and dry. If he is licking at the spot, place an e-collar (cone) on him.

This is likely to be a small ''pimple''. It is very likely to be completely benign and only mild disinfection may be resolutive. Disinfection may be started at home with very diluted hibiscrub or betadine or salted water baths. Buster collar may be useful as well to avoid any licking (if any).
