Between Aug 10-13, diamond jumped from the back of a non moving truck. She has been limping ever since. On the 14th of sep, she started whining if she moves the wrong way. How long should she be limping? Is there anything i can give her for pain?

Since she's been lame for a week, an exam with your veterinarian would be recommended. X-rays to diagnose fractures may be indicated after a physical exam. There are very few OTC medications you can give a dog for pain at home. Most are toxic or easy to overdose. Do not medicate Diamond without the advice of your veterinarian.

If you can have him examined by your veterinarian now, that would be optimal. Your veterinarian may recommend x-rays after a physical exam to rule out any fractures. Monitor for lethargy, difficulty breathing, bleeding from the nose, mouth or ears, bruising or swelling.

To diagnose a sprain or fracture, your dog will need to be physically examined by your veterinarian. X-rays can diagnose a fracture. Since she is exhibiting signs of pain, she likely require some pain medication and anti inflammatories to provide relief.
