Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 13 years and 7 months old | 50 lbs
I’m considering fostering puppies but we’re worried it might make my dog nervous, even though he would never actually see the fosters (they would be in a separate room). The thought is that although he won’t see them, he will know they’re there and not being able to see them will cause him extreme anxiety. He is pretty old, almost 13 years, and we want to make sure he is comfortable. How do you think this might affect him? Thank you so much!!

Spencer should be fine as long as you continue to pat and pay attention to him. It might perk him up to have activity in the house. As long as they are not together it shouldn't cause Spencer too much stress. I'm glad you are helping foster puppies, and are so concerned about Spencer.
