My dog had a vaccine reaction. Is her 2013 distemper shot still good?

There is a raccoon that visits my yard. I am worried about canine distemper. My dog was vaccinated in 2013 and had a bad reaction. I am reluctant to get her a booster. Does she still have immunity from her vaccination in 2013?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Studies have shown that the Distemper/parvo vaccine may have protective immunity for 3-7 years after vaccination. If you are worried I would consider having a distemper and parvo titre done on Zandalee's blood. Be sure that Zandalee is updated on her Rabies as well. Raccoons also carry rabies. I hope this helps and good luck!
