Why is my senior Pomeranian drinking so much water at night?

Pet's info: Dog | Pomeranian | Male | unneutered | 10 years and 8 months old | 7.7 lbs

I have a pomeranian dog, he is 10.5 years old. I just notice that he suddenly drink a lot of water at night (more than usual/ during the day) before he go to bed (around 8pm). I know that the weather is getting warmer lately, but I am concern that theres something wrong with his health. Can you please help me?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Increased water intake can be observed with many conditions such as Cushing's disease, urinary tract infections, high calcium (which can happen from many conditions, and even cancer. In some cases it can be due to warm weather as well. I recommend that you have Nidjie evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment which may include bloodwork, urinalysis and imaging.
