My older cat hides, won't eat, drinks lots after new kitten. Is it serious?

I recently just got a kitten and. One after two weeks My older cat keeps hiding and won't eat or go toilet, I got him out this morning but he refused to eat anything and just drank loads of water, he done a little wee but that's all, is this normal behaiveor ?

No this isn't normal and Scribble has to see a vet immediately. It's extremely serious she isn't eating, as when a cat doesn't eat for longer than 72 hours, they develop a fatty liver which is fatal without treatment. While the stress of having a new kitten can cause a cat not to eat, it shouldn't last this long. I'm concerned there is something more serious going on with her, such as kidney disease, liver disease, dental problems. or even cancer. She needs veterinary care now, please take her into a vet right away.
