My puppy has a black circle on his testicles. Is it a tumor?

My dog just turned 7 months this month. He is a yorkie/pomeranian. Today I was sitting in the floor playing with him and i noticed a black circle down towards where his texticles are. i googled the problem and testicular tumors came up. he is a very fluffy dog and i have no idea how long he has had that and i have no idea what to do. my local vet it closed so i can't call and ask and i'm freaking out and i don't know what to do.

I can understand being worried, but cancer in a seven month old puppy would be extremely rare, so I don't think you need to worry about that! This black circle could be due to a skin infection or an injury. As long as Marley is behaving normally, eating and drinking, and going to the bathroom normally, there is no reason to rush to the vet tonight. I would have him seen by a vet in the next couple of days to have this area checked out. The vet can diagnose what is causing it and how best to treat it. That is very unlikely to be a cancer, but only a spot of skin infection. A clinical examination at your local veterinarian is essential to confirm these clinical suspicions and treat appropriately. Hello! My dog is about 9 months old and I noticed that one of his testicles has a dark spot. He seems to be peeing normally and has normal behavior. Should I be concerned?
Everything in the picture appears normal. the dark spot appears to be normal pigment in the skin of he scrotum. The skin can get more or less pigmented as they age, so this may be why you are just now noticing this. As long as the dark areas are not raised, crusty, or causing any other problems with the skin, then they are not concerning. Considering he is otherwise normal, I would not be concerned about this. Have a 5 lb 5 year old yorki. I just noticed his skin on his testical area is turning black is that normal?
This could be just normal hyperpigmentation from aging. If the area isn't causing him to lick or be bothered and it doesn't look inflamed or irritated, I would just watch it. If it seems to bother him or is getting worse, I would have your vet take a look to just make sure there isn't any other concerns. I hope this helps!

We brought our dog back from the groomer Saturday evening and noticed a black patch on his scrotum that we don't think was there before. He hasn't been kicking the area and it doesn't seem to bother him too much. I'm just concerned it might be epidid
From the pictures this looks like normal pigmentation but of course I cannot say hat for sure without doing my own exam. If the skin is smooth, not flakey, and the testicles don’t feel hard or painful then this is likely normal. If there is anything that’s looks abnormal or you aren’t sure then I would have your vet take a peek just to make sure. Epididymitis usually causes a testicle to swell and become hard. This is a black mass that should very definitely be examined by your veterinarian, This could very likely be a melanoma or similar cancerous mass and may need to be removed. Your vet will likely do a fine needle biopsy to either send in to a lab or examine under the microscope to see whether it is cancerous, Please do not wait long to make an appointment with your veterinarian, This could, of course also be a benign growth, however it is not possible to determine whether it is benign or malign by way of a photo.

My pom has a black mole on her vagina. It has gotten larger over time. Could this be cancer?
It certainly is possibly this lump could be cancerous at Pumpkin's age, and any growing lump should be checked out by a vet. The vet can perform a test called a fine needle aspirate on it. To do this, the vet sticks a small needle into the lump to get a sample of it's cells, and examines the cells on a slide under a microscope. It's usually painless to the animal, and relatively quick to perform. I would have her seen by a vet tomorrow to have this lump examined and diagnosed so it can be treated as needed. Testicular cancer is not very common in dogs and it occur in most cases at a much older age. i would still recommend having it checked by your vet though, just to have peace of mind as it is not possible for me to know what it is based on a picture.

Hello there! A black spot on the genitals can be any number of things. Color change in the skin of yorkies is common as they get older, so it may be as simple as that. If the skin is raised, bumpy, moist, has non-uniform edges, or has any sort of lesion in or on it, it should be looked at by a veterinarian. It could be a bacterial infection, a fungal infection, an insect bite, or a cancerous mass. At the vet's office, your yorkie will receive a full physical exam. The vet will look at the spot, and they may know what it is just by looking at it. If it isn't obvious by simply looking at it, they may take a small sample of skin from the surface of the lesion by scraping it, or a sample of cells from the skin using a needle (called a fine needle aspirate, or FNA). These cells will be examined under the microscope to look for bacteria, fungus, or abnormal cells. Hi Holly! Unfortunately yes, there is always a possibility this could be a testicular tumor, but it could either be a benign or a malignant tumor. The best thing to do is consult with your vet so that these lumps can be examined in person and diagnosed. Treatment for testicular tumors does involving neutering the dog, and that can be curative and often the only treatment needed. Make an appointment for Romo with the vet in the next day or two. Ollie has black specks all over his penis. They are very very tiny and I don't know what they are.
Without being able to perform a close physical exam or view an image, it's hard to say for sure what these might be. Some dogs will have black skin pigmentation in this area that can appear as black specks, especially if they have a history of allergies or itching in this area.
