My Yorkie is snorting and rattling, acting sick. What should I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Male | neutered | 5 months and 4 days old | 5.75 lbs

I have a Yorkie. He is usually a little hyper. This morning he is rattley this morning almost like a snort and I can tell he don't feel good. What could it be?

I am sorry to hear about Jack! In a young dog like this the most common cause would be a respiratory infection or inhalation of a foreign object. If he is acting lethargic/ as if he doesn't feel well and has a rattling sound when breathing, then a trip to the vet would be recommended so the vet can listen to his lungs, check the airflow from his nostrils, check his throat and check for a fever. They may prescribe antibiotics or other medications if they feel indicated.
