Why is one of my female dwarf hamsters suddenly squeaking constantly?

Pet's info: Exotic | Unknown - Exotic | Female | unspayed | 2 years and 8 months old | 0.05 lbs

I have 3 dwarf hamsters all female and one is constantly squeaking and won't stop she has never done this before please help me!

This most likely is a behavioral characteristic. I would recommend separating the hamsters and seeing if this stops or changes the behavior. I would also make sure that all the hamsters are getting along and the one making the noise is not getting picked on. IF it continues a vet visit is best to make sure there is no underlying disease or pain causing the noise. hope that helps and thanks for using pet coach

    Your hamster may be painful or stressed. Exam him or her for signs of injury or illness (overgrown teeth, hair loss, discharge, redness, bleeding, swelling, loose stool, etc). If you find anything, have your veterinarian confirm and treat the illness or injury. Confirm proper temperatures in the cage and clean it out. Provide a hide or two as well as some chew toys and items to push around or manipulate. Survey the area around the cage for any negative stimuli, reducing or eliminating them if found.
