Is dry food okay for a 2-month-old kitten or should it be wet?

Zuri can tolerate a dry food already without putting water or milk in. Based on her age, is it already ok for her or should we give jer wet food first?

At two months of age, Zuri is old enough to eat dry food on her own and there is no need to give her dry food with water or milk in it. You can give her wet food as part of her diet or as an occasional treat. I hope this helps :-)

    Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Bubu kitty mok should eat kitten food until 1 year of age. It is personal preference whether you feed canned or dry cat food. She is old enough to eat 100% dry food. If she has a hard time with it wait another few weeks. I hope this helps and good luck!

The answer is up to you and your cat. Some cats prefer dry only, some wet only, some enjoy both. Kitten food is still needed at six months of age and will be until he is a year old. I recommend dry food mostly, with a smaller amount of wet food offered in the morning and evening. In terms of brands, you should look for those that have an AAFCO statement, indicating that they are formulated to meet your cat's nutritional needs. I'm adopting a 1-2 months old kitten in a few days. I've seen that I have to feed him 4 times a day, but I'm not sure of how much food I have to give him. Can someone, please, tell me? Also, is it ok if I give him dry food (mixed with formula milk)?
Hello. It makes a bit of a difference if your kitten is 4 weeks or 8 weeks of age. At 4 weeks, you can offer food 4 times a day & allow the kitten to eat as much as she wants in a 10-15 minute period of time. At 8 weeks of age, you can leave dry food out all day as most cats do like to nibble throughout the day. You can absolutely mix the dry & the formula together but by 8 weeks of age, I would stop the formula & just use the dry food. You can also offer canned kitten food several times a day, too if you wish. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

I have a kitten that is about 1 month old. She loves wet cat food. Is that too much for her?
Coco is such a cutie! Wet cat food is a great choice for kittens. If she's eating it well, growing and having normal stools, then I wouldn't change anything. As she becomes an adult you can keep her on wet food, but I would recommend measuring it so that she maintains a normal weight. Congratulations on your new little one!

What should i feed to a 4 month old kitten? Can i feed dry food twice a day & wet food once a day? What should be the time gap in every meal?
Any kitten formulation should be fine to give. Most brands have both wet and dry versions of the same foods so you can offer both without causing GI upset. If you are switching foods, gradually doing so over a period of 7-9 days can help minimize any GI upset. Most kittens should be fed 3-4 times a day and this can decrease to 2-3 once they are a bit older. The wet/dry combo can be spread out however works best for your schedule, however any wet food that is not eaten should be picked up after 15 minutes to avoid spoiling.

Both are fine to feed Artemis. Not giving her dry food won't affect her dental health, and giving her wet food will add more moisture to her diet. You can feed her the 3/4 wet and 1/4 dry. Feeding her three times a day is fine. I hope this helps.

It is okay for Muezza to primarily eat canned food although you may want to consider switching to Royal Canin canned since it follows the WSAVA guidelines for pet foods. You should feed her kitten food, canned food if possible because it adds water to her diet since most cats don't drink a ton of water. This in turn helps promote good urinary and kidney health long term. You should get a high quality kitten food such as Fromm, Hills science diet, Royal Canin, Evo or Eukanuba. You should be feeding her 3 times a day, and the amount should be based on what the bag or can says as a guideline. Best of luck with your kitty and I hope that she does well at her first vet visit. Great question! No, it's not necessary to give Suzy wet cat food as well, the dry kitten food will provide her will all the nutrition she needs. You can give her some as a treat occasionally, and make sure she has plenty of fresh water to drink. I hope this helps!

I have 2-week old kittens here and I caught one of them trying to eat mama kitties dry food, is this normal? Should I start giving them wet food?
The kitten may have shown some interest but we don't normally start offering food until around 4 weeks of age, and then start with a gruel of formula and canned food. I would hold off on offering solid food for a couple more weeks!
