My dog has a hard black spot on his chest oozing pus. What is it?

What is this on this dogs chest? It has pus coming out of it when squeezed. Started as a hard black spot

Poor guy. This appears to be a possible mass (i.e. histiocytoma which is usually benign) or a severe inflammatory response to a foreign body (i.e. Grass awn, etc) underneath the skin. I would recommend having your vet take a look at this and shave the hair around it to get a closer look at it up close. They will also flush the area well and start a short course of antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicaitons to see if it resolves. If it doesn't then samples of the tissue can be taken to identify what this is for sure, so that we know how we need to treat this area successfully. Best of luck with Dayo and his skin issue.
