My dogs have symptoms. Could it be Giardia from another dog?

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | neutered | 100 lbs

my sister got a puppy and it was diagnosed with giardi. now i have three other dogs. the one dog is throwing up and not eating. the other has diharrea and the one other seems to be okay. do you think the two could have this giardi

I am sorry Jax is not feeling well. Giardia can be spread and is contagious between dogs. If you had a dog at home diagnosed with giardia it is very possible the other dogs have it too. However I would recommend taking them to the vet for confirmation to make sure you are not overlooking another possibilities. Hope that helps

    Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Giardia is contagious, to other animals as well as to people. If Larry eliminates in the house, I would wear gloves, immediately clean the area and disinfect it. I would also have him use a designated area in the yard that the other dogs don't then use to decrease the possibility of it spreading, and again wear gloves when picking up his poop. If he hasn't already had a fecal screening for giardia, I would encourage you to do so so he could start treatment. Good luck.
