Will my disobedient puppy learn from socializing with a calm dog?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | 10 lbs

Just got a pit bull/german shepherd puppy. She's very sweet and playful but is a little disobedient. We are working on establishing dominance as well as socializing her with other puppies. We have a friend who has an amazingly obedient and polite dog. My question is, if we socialize our puppy with our friends dog will she learn from her and start to develop more polite traits? Thank you

I think it is a great idea to have Akira socialize with the other dog (as long as the other dog is healthy and vaccinated). This will help her learn how to interact with other dogs and teach her appropriate play behavior. It will also help her have an outlet for her energy so that training her will be easier for you. Good luck!
