Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 8 months old
Marshall has a small lump on the inside of his tail about three inches down from where it connects to his body. Is this normal or should I be concerned ? It is small and not red at all he will let me toutch it so it doesnt seem to be bothering him at all. Ive only found it tonight but it is hard im feeling like it maybe a bone or muscle or something but I may sound silly right now ?

Hi there and thank you for using Pet Coach! Without pictures or examining Marshall, it is quite difficult to say what the small lump is. With his age I would suspect it is likely benign and possibly an insect bite or what we call a histiocytoma (which occur commonly in younger dogs). I would recommend having it examined by a veterinarian in order to determine exactly what it is. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. I am also available by phone or text based consultation if needed.
