My 5-week-old puppy's eye is red and looks painful. What's wrong?

Hi I have I rescued a 5 week old puppy and his Conner of his eye seems to be very red in color not swollen but it looks like it hurts him do you have any advice ?

Hello and thank you for your post! From the pictures, it looks like Monkey's eye has a reddened sclera (white part of the eye) due to perhaps a burst blood vessel or also called conjunctival injection. This can occur due to trauma of some sort (rough play, ball hitting eye, running into something, etc). If he seems bothered by it (pawing at eye, squinting eye) I would take Monkey to see his veterinarian where they can preform an eye exam and prescribe Monkey with a topical anti-inflammatory agent.
