Pet's info: Dog | Bernese Mountain Dog | Male | unneutered | 10 months and 18 days old | 84 lbs
My 10 month old Bernese mountain dog..is somewhat unusual for the greed( have had 3 before,.am older) we got him at 16 weeks from a breeder we know..he has been pretty healthy..but now has started to be very difficult to manage..he was never food driven so the training is a little more challenging..he now mounts and humps all he can..We reject this behaviour consistenly..but he stops and then a few minutes later starts,,our vet would like us to wait for a year or more to neuter him.hormines?

Hi and thank you for your post. Neutering him will help eradicate this behavior for sure. Neutering around a year of age would be recommended. He will likely continue this behavior until he gets neutered. Best to you and Harry! Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!
