Are prong collars painful for dogs with aggression towards others?

I was wondering if prong collars are painful to dogs or just uncomfortable because I'm trying to my dogs slight aggression towards other dogs. Pet's info: Dog | Boston Terrier | Male | unneutered | 2 years old | 40 lbs

If used correctly Prong collars should not be painful or uncomfortable to dogs. Prong collars can be a good way to help with training but again need to be used correctly where you are not just pulling on the collar. I also really like genital leaders for walks. The genital leader goes around the nose and when you pull tucks the head towards you to provide restraint but also re direction. I would recommend starting to work with a trainer to help teach you the proper use of a prong or genital leader. Hope that helps
