What to do if a stray dog bites a person? Rabies shots needed?

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Female | 9 months and 4 days old

Hi Team, One of my frnds is been bitten up by a stray dog, Could u guys plz suggest on the next course of action. Is it life threatening or any injections to be taken as I'm sure the stray dogs are not vaccinated here in India. Regards, GRETA ALMEIDA

If a person was bitten by a dog they need to go see a doctor as soon as possible. Each country is different but in the united states they typically give rabies prevention to people who have been bitten by unvaccinated dogs. It is also important to make sure the wounds are cleaned and medicated if needed. Hope that helps
