My Aussie has painful red spots and ulcers on her back after grooming.

Pet's info: Dog | Australian Shepherd | Female | spayed | 3 years and 6 months old | 49 lbs

there are multipe seeping ulcerations plus small red spots surrounding the open ulcers along the back of my 4years black female australian shephard. no changes in diet. saw a new groomer monday. she cringes from touching it but her disposition has not changed.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Goodness poor Riley!! From your pictures it looks like a skin infection or hot spots. It could be a reaction to the shampoo used at the groomer. They do look ulcerative and painful. I would make an appointment with your Vet first thing tomorrow morning. They will likely prescribe antibiotics and steroids. I hope this helps and I wish Riley a speedy revovery!
