Why does my spayed female dog have a bad odor from her rear end?

My dog has this odor I'm not sure if it's her vagina or her butt. What do I do? She's a year old German Sheppard and she has been fixed. Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | spayed | 10 months and 18 days old | 60 lbs

Hello, sorry to hear about MJ. I would be concerned that this odor is coming from her anal glands. Other causes could be if she has soiled fur around her anus which could be causing the bad odor. I would look by lifting her tail and checking for any abnormalities in the area. If you fail to find any, then have your veterinarian examine her anal glands. Hope this helps and best of luck!!!
