Why won't my female dog in heat let the male dog breed her?

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 9 years old | 60 lbs

My female dog is at her 11 day of heat, and won't let the male dog mount her.She has been at my house for 3 days now and wpshe plays with him,but when he's about to do it.She sits and stays like that.Today she is leaving (later) and I really want them to have puppies.What do I do?..

Hi and thanks for your post. If Murci is not standing for the male, she is likely still in proestrus and not in estrus. Proestrus can last for a couple weeks and is marked with vaginal swelling and vaginal bleeding. You may need to wait a few more days until she will be behaviorally receptive to the male.     Thank you for submitting your question regarding Naughty. A dog will typically only be receptive to male dog when she is in the fertile phase of her heat cycle. She will not let a make dog close to her otherwise. I would not force her to be with this male if she is not receptive. When she is ready to breed, she will let the male mount her. I hope this information helps!
