My guinea pig prefers grass. Is it okay if they don't eat hay?

I have bought the same type of hay from the same place and my guinea pig always devoired it. I have introduced them to grass and now they have almost totally stopped eating the hay. Their weight has remained the same. Is it okay to just eat the grass instead of hay? They always have hay available

yes it is ok, and it is actually more valuable as it contains more Vitamin C. Avoid ornamental grass as it can be toxic. This diet should be supplemented, or better complemented, with mixed commercial one anyway.
