My kitten has a teary, swollen eye. Is it an infection? How to treat?

Greetings ! So for the past 3 days my my Kitten's eye became teary and grew a bit larger at the bottom left side. So I am wondering what may be the cause and how can I threat ? and does it count as an Infection that may grow more dangerous. Thank you.

Hi and thank you for your post. It is hard to tell just by pictures alone if the eye is truly infected or not. I would have to see Tsuki for a closer look and do an eye exam. If they are tearing and the area around swollen, then yes, the eyes could be infected and may be treatment with an antibiotic you may get from your veterinarian. Left untreated, eye infections can get worse and lead to more serious problem of the eye. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!
