Are animal cancer rates increasing in propotion to human ones? And does an unhealthy lifestyle contribute to it in case of animals too? And what other factors would be there? Ps.this is sort of a follow up question on a prev question i asked which was answered. All of this is random. I have no pets suffering from cancer. Am just curious.

That's a great question! I don't know if rates are increasing as much as we now have the technology to find and diagnose cancer better than we could years ago. An unhealthy lifestyle can contribute in some cases. I read a human study that obesity was linked to some cancers because fat cells are constantly triggering inflammatory cells which can trigger cancer cells. But as we also know in humans, even healthy individuals can develop cancer. also the advancements we have made to increase longevity can be linked to cancer- we are living longer than before and some cells were not made to live that long. I hope this helps answer your question! Please feel free to post more if needed.
