Pet's info: Dog | Miniature Pinscher | Male | neutered | 4.6 lbs
Hello, I am looking for some information relating to excitability leading to pain, We have a happy, healthy, approximately nine year old miniature pinscher, now he does tend to overreact to situations such as yelping for a few seconds from small bumps, this is expected due to his abusive past, however the main reason for contacting. Is that when excited, such as greeting an owner coming home, he seem very sensitive and yelps as if in pain when touched around the ears or shoulders,

I would recommend taking William to a vet for a good exam. My concern would be that William could possible have neck pain. I would recommend restricting his activity and limiting the activity that seems to stimulate the pain. If you walk him I would start using a harness to allow no pressure to be around his neck. I hope that william starts feeling better soon. Also a vet can discuss proper pain control and prescribe medications if needed. thanks for using pet coach
