My 10-year-old dog won't eat and has black vomit. What should I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | neutered | 38 lbs

My dog is 10yrs old and he is not eating any thing from last 5 days, my vet Dr has done every checkup but he did not find any cause, he has also given antibiotic but no relief , i tried every food to feed him but he did not ate, he also doing Black color Vomit, pls advice what to do..??

Hi there. I bet you are pretty worried about Bobby. Black colored vomit is very worrisome and may indicate bleeding into the stomach. This can be caused by multiple reasons but it is a condition that needs treatment quickly. Some diagnostics that your veterinarian might suggest would be blood work to look for blood loss, kidney disease, and other causes. Sometimes endoscopy, ultrasound or surgery may be recommended to help find the cause and remove it if possible. Sometimes stomach protectant medications and special foods may be used to help him feel better. I would recommend that you call your veterinarian for a follow up examination.
