Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Female | unspayed | 3 years and 5 months old | 20.945 lbs
These are the photos of my 3 years old female pug. Some papules emerge on its skin and contain not so severe hairfall. the itchiness level is like 7 out of 10. She can stay for 3-4 hrs without scratching but when she scratch I put on Poly XLR ointment and Iodine on the scratched wound. I read alot on the internet about scabies and I am starting to get worried :( Is it anything I should worry about? Is it related to scabies? I am from india, and will visit the vet tommo.

This does not look like scabies but appears to be a bacterial skin infection. With scabies the dogs are very itchy mostly on the ears, face and feet. You can see crusting on the ear flaps in particular. You are doing a good job treating these spots. You also could bathe Nunui all over with a medicated shampoo. Your veterinarian will probably perform a skin scraping and look for mites, yeast and bacteria under the microscope. Then they can prescribe the appropriate medication to treat the skin and itching. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for Nunui.
