How do you know when mouth warts on a dog are no longer contagious? If you can see the wart, is it still contagious?

If you can still see the wart on your dog's mouth then it is possible that it could still be contagious to other dogs (it is not contagious to people). Most often dogs that are infected are young, immune compromised, or have wounds in the mouth. There are other skin growths that can look like warts that may not actually be viral in nature, so if your dog hasn't been examined by a vet already, I would recommend this.
