Dog puking, not eating after birth control shot. Is she pregnant?

I have a Labrador bitch which mated with a street during her mating time. We went to a vet who gave a an injection to stop the pregnancy. But after that she is puking daily and has also lost her appetite and i have read it on Google as early pregnancy signs. So i was pretty concerned about she's pregnant or not. What should I do? Please help. She mated on 4th September and was injected with the birth control on 5th September.

No, those are not signs of early pregnancy. Dogs do not get "morning sickness" like people do. Her symptoms are most likely related to the mis-mating injection she received. I do not know what type of injection is used in India for mis-mating however the one we use here in the US causes these side effects: anorexia, excitation, depression, vomiting or diarrhea. Some dogs may also be at risk for getting a severe uterine infection after the injection. The injection we use here works best and has less side effects if you wait to administer it after their heat cycle is finished. If I was your vet, I would have waited to administer the injection for a couple weeks. That being said, I do not know what medication they used. I suggest you contact your vet and find out more information and ask them about these symptoms she is having. IT is very difficult for me to say much without knowing what was used. Hope this helps.
