Why is my dog suddenly weak, breathing hard, and has white gums?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Staffordshire Terrier | Male | unneutered | 9 years old | 75 lbs

Out of the blue/all of a sudden Bum-Bucha started to breathe hard and become short of breathe,(like he just ran a lot and exercised but he did no such thing), doesn't want to eat, doesn't respond to commands(come, sit, etc,,), and just wants to lay where he is at right now. Earlier today he was fine nothing unusual/out of the ordinary happened. His gums are white(not pink). Currently he is weak and wobbles when he tries to walk and seems out of it. Vets here are closed for the night.

You should take Bum-Bucha to an out of hours vet emergency service in your area of living as these symptoms sounds very severe, it could be poisoning or internal bleeding, if you wait to the morning to take him to the vet it might be too late, he needs medical attention urgently.
