My dog has small white bumps on his inner thighs. What could they be?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | 12 lbs

Please help me! My dog has white heads on his inner thighs where there isn't much skin. There's no obvious pain and he's had them for weeks, they dont seen to be getting worse but I'm still worried. They're not irritated, they're just small white heads. What is this? Can anyone help me?

This signs could be compatible with a focal skin infection (bacterial folliculitis). A check up, appropriate disinfection and possibly antibiotics (oral, topical or in a shampoo formulation) are needed to solve the problem. Disinfection can eventually be started at home with very diluted hibiscrub or betadine or salted water baths.
