My 3 month old chihuahua snips and growls at me sometimes when he has toys and I go for them but sometimes he's fine and doesn't care when I do that. He also goes wild sometimes when I tell him no and will start barking and trying to nip me harder that he usually does.. Are those early warning signs of aggression.

Yes, they are signs of aggression. He does not see you as the "boss" and you need to change that ASAP or you will have terror on your hands! I suggest you do some reading on how to become the boss or "pack leader". Everyone in the household should do this. The puppy should be the low man on the totem pole. https://www.cesarsway.com/dog-psychology/pack-leader/how-to-be-a-pack-leader http://www.cbrrescue.org/articles/packleader.htm https://www.amazon.com/Art-Raising-Puppy-Revised/dp/0316083275 Hope this helps. Best wishes.
