Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 4 years and 5 months old | 9 lbs
I feed my cat a can of cat food she had never had before a few days. Later, she started vomiting. Then, after a couple of days of that, she had diarrhea every about three times a day. I took her food away to try to let her system clean out. Can't afford to take her to the vet. Other than the diarrhea, she seems like for normal self. Now, tried to feed my other cat, she about ten minutes after eating a small bit of dry food, she threw it back up. Could there bag of food be bad?

I am so sorry to hear that both of your cats are having a hard time. To be on the safe side I would not continue to feed this bag of food to your cats. There are a number of potential causes of such clinical signs, including dietary indiscretion, pancreatitis, parasite infestation, infection, and ingestion of a toxin or poison. Because you lrnfirat cat has recovered and you have only noticed these signs over the course of a few days, I would continue to monitor Munchkin at home. This is what you can do; Rest Munchkin's gastrointestinal tract by holding back food for a few hours. Then you can continue with a bland and easily digested food of the boiled chicken breast and provide plenty of fresh water. You might want to consider a prwmade gastrointestinal health diet; http://m.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=31565 Or a probiotic to help their systems recover; http://m.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=33650 If Munchkin does not improve, has profuse vomiting or diarrhoea, you notice fresh blood, Munchkin seems lethargic, in pain or depressed I would advise a trip to the veterinarian.
