My dog is in pain, snorting, and struggling to move. Vet emergency?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 8 years and 3 months old | 40 lbs

My dog is crying from gentle touches to his stomach and struggles getting up stairs or standing after laying down. He had 2 warts (one wart reoccurring) two/three months ago. Said to be benign. He is now snorting when breathing for the past hour. Will he be okay to keep overnight or should we take him to a vet hospital?

It sounds like Archie is very painful and may be in respiratory distress. It is definitely possible that something serious has happened and I recommend taking him to the emergency veterinarian tonight. There are a few life-threatening conditions that may be a possibility. I know the emergency vet is expensive, but I honestly would not wait with the problems you are describing.
