Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Male | neutered | 2 years and 8 months old | 12 lbs
My cat started having these short "episodes" where he tilts his head back his eyes will squint and twitch, almost like a human does when they're about to sneeze. His mouth opens slightly and the white membrane shows in his eyes. After a moment or two everything is normal. This has been happening for 3-4 weeks. Vet can't find anything wrong but this is NOT normal and I'm very concerned. Are these seizures/strokes? He's only 3 years old. Please help!

I am sorry to hear this! I know how worrisome it is to have vague signs with no other hints! If not done already, I would recommend having bloodwork and an x-ray done. Some things I would want to rule out- heart/lung disease, signs of infection, and parasites. If this all appears normal I would also consider a sedated exam to see if there are any abnormalities in his ears or mouth- like a polyp. If the behavior worsens and you do not find any answers on the other tests I would also consider advanced imaging like a CT. I hope it is nothing serious but it is good to know your options!
