My pug has one anal gland symptom. Does he need them expressed?

Think my pug needs his anal gland emptying but not too sure, he only has one of the symptoms. Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 1 month old

If Frankie is licking around his rectum, scooting, or you smell a foul, fishy odor he should have his anal glands checked and expressed. Any of the above signs indicate Frankie should have his anal glands checked, he doesn't have to be showing all signs.
