My Yorkie has pancreatitis, swollen nodes, discomfort. What to do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Female | spayed | 8 years and 3 months old | 12 lbs

Our 8 year old yorkie has a sensitive stomach and had a pancreatic/liver attack. Numbers very high. Also, lymph nodes on neck swell. Bad today. Gags like a sore throat. Lots of saliva at times. Walks around in discomfort. Clavamos 62 5 mg was helping. Not now. What should I do?

Clavamox is an antibiotic and will only help if an infection is involve. for pancreatitis episodes your dog will need other medications that you need to get from your vet (ranitidine, omeprazole, cerenia). he also need a special prescription diet on a regular basis such as gastrointestinal low fat from royal canin.
