Why is my older dog drooling and obsessed with our new puppy?

Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Male | unneutered | 9 years and 4 months old | 7 lbs

I have a 9year old yorkie and just got a 2month year old morkie and my 9year old wont stop smelling the puppy and the puppy trys to get away the 9year old yorkie is like drooling and doesnt stop and trys to push us just to gwt to the puppy how do i stop this and why is this happening?

The older one is excited and interested in the new puppy. This will get better in a few days as they get used to one another and the newness wears off. All you can is try to let them get to know each other in a safe way and try to keep the older one calm when they interact
